Skaters Pass U.S. Figure Skating Tests

Congratulations to our two most recent skaters to pass U.S. Figure Skating tests earlier in August. U.S. Figure Skating tests are the next steps in skating after skaters have completed the Basic Skills program.

Elizabeth Penny, NSS skater, assistant coach, and member of the St. Paul Figure Skating Club passed her Preliminary Moves-in-the-Field.
Kelly Gulbrandson, NSS Assistant Director and Skating Instructor, also a member of the St. Paul Figure Skating Club, passed her Adult Bronze Movies-in-the-Field

Both skaters are coached by Northfield Skating School Owner/Director Carey Tinkelenberg at the St. Paul Figure Skating Club.

Thanks For Coming to Bring a Friend Day!

On Sunday, Jan 16, we welcomed dozens of new skaters to the Northfield Arena with the Northfield Skating School’s annual Bring a Friend Day. Parents, siblings, neighbors, and friends enjoyed a lesson with an NSS coach and some time to learn new skills with their friends. See more photos (and larger versions of these) on the photos page.
