Skating School to Host Girl Scout Skating Event
guenishi | 3 05 2008In cooperation with the Girl Scout Council of Cannon Valley, we are excited to host our first ever Girl Scout skating event! The following information is directly from the Girl Scout flyer (Contact Carey to have a flyer emailed to you):
Explore Ice Skating with the
Northfield Skating School!
Strap on your skates and join us for an afternoon of fun. Figure skating builds skills, strength, and confidence both on and off the ice! Join the staff of the Northfield Skating School to explore the sport and performing art of skating. During the 2 hours girls will participate in a basic skating lesson, play on-ice games and have supervised practice time. Girls will also spend sometime off the ice learning about safety, attire, taking care of skates, skating organizations, and skating history. A participation patch is included.
Participants will be offered a special Girl Scout discount on skating lessons if they choose to register for Fall Session 1 following the event.
